Paws up Resort, in Greenough Montana, is spectacular!
The picturesque setting and five star provisions make it the perfect place for a rustic chic wedding and the ultimate “out west” vacation destination. My sister in law was married there last May; what a fabulous week of festivities and family time it was.

It’s true what they say that the sky is bigger in Montana. While nature is the main attraction, there’s no shortage of luxury. It was too early in the season to try out their famed “glamping” tents so we stayed in the well-appointed lodges and took advantage of the outdoor hot tub daily.

Thanks to an incredible chef, formerly at the famed French Laundry restaurant in California, we ate often and very well. And there is no shortage of exploration opportunities and activities to try. We opted for the horseback riding and ATV’s, both of which I would recommend for seeing a great deal of the property, views and wildlife in a relatively short amount of time. The ropes course and hiking trails looked intriguing too but our kids were still a little young to try them out. In the summer, there’s a great kid’s camp on the grounds.
Now for the main event. The wedding was outdoors in the mid-morning, on a beautiful riverbank, followed by the most fantastic brunch and dancing in a rustic chic venue nearby. No detail was overlooked and guests thoroughly enjoyed the event! Especially our children, who felt like celebrities as the ring bearer and flower girl along with their precious cousins.
We give this destination two enthusiastic thumbs up and hope everyone gets a chance to travel out west at one point or another.
