I always anxiously anticipate spring, the warmer weather and new life budding everywhere. However, it recently dawned on me that I rarely take time to soak it all in. The current slowdown has allowed me to see that.
Sure, COVID-19 has brought a series of frustrations and challenges to our work and personal lives, and it has taken a few weeks to process those. But now that we’re on the other side of denial and well into working through our first world disappointment, it’s sweet to see the signs of spring all around us and to sit in them.
My absolute favorite thing in this season is watching the sheer joy on my children’s faces as they settle into spring rhythms, largely undisturbed by the chaos and without the looming pressures of our typical schedule.

To provide some outdoor inspiration, the enclosed images are outtakes from the stunning garden of a treasured client’s home here in Charlotte. It was recently featured in Southpark Magazine and can be found here: https://southparkmagazine.com/timeless-with-a-twist/.
It looks less styled at our house, but we are still doing lots of swinging and running around. We even planted a vegetable garden that has signs of growth!

In terms of West Trade Interiors, we are grateful to have several spring projects in process and are in the midst of rebranding that kicked off in January…same name but new look to reflect where we’re headed. (More on that next month. See below for a sneak peek of new logo).

In the meantime, we are here for you! Both our e-design and full-service platforms are running virtually and ready to serve your needs. That room nagging you, now that you’re home all the time to notice, we have a plan for that. More info HERE:
