Happy New Year, Friends!

I’m loving this ten year challenge that’s floating around social media. It has been the perfect catalyst to sit back and reflect on what that time has meant for our family and more specifically our business venture.
A decade ago I was living several states away, up in the Big Apple, and focused on a career in fashion. Meanwhile, mom was here in Charlotte enjoying many elements of being an empty nester and refocusing on her interior design business.
Fate lead me to my true love that first year in NYC and we were soon engaged. The hometown wedding, and planning beforehand, was a special time for mom and me to reconnect. While in Charlotte for the festivities Bryan, my Texan born husband, fell in love with our town.

Several years later, after a stop off in Atlanta, we made Charlotte home. It seemed only natural to team up with mom in her interior design business when we arrived. The two years prior, I had been helping her from afar to modernize the back office of Lisa Britt Designs and to create an online presence.
With newfound time and freedom, mom found even more excitement in her work and the clients rolled in. Therefore, I filled those back office and marketing shoes upon arrival and we’ve evolved from there. Now we’re enjoy a thriving design partnership under a new name and can’t imagine it any other way!
Thank you for allowing us to share our lives with you and for inviting us into yours!
